Zero Hunger Trust Fund SVG Receives Donation from The ECGC
The Zero Hunger Trust Fund received a donation from the ECGC on the Behalf of Team CariGold Rye from the Miss SVG 2023 Culinary Cookoff in the sum of $1,000.00 worth of food products per month for 6 months. This donation was generously directed to the ZHTF by Miss SVG -Team CariGold Rye for input to the Fund’s resilient School Feeding Programme.
Under our resilient School Feeding Programme, the ZHTF SVG has provided approximately 1600 students across twelve (12) primary schools from vulnerable communities within St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Our resilient School Feeding Programme has changed the trajectory of many lives. Our menus incorporate fresh fruits, vegetables, and feed between 50% – 100% of the schools’ population, allowing students access to at least one safe and nutritious meal daily thus contributing to improved nutrition, enhanced concentration and academic performance, and increased school attendance.

With donations and support such as from the ECGC and Miss SVG 2023, it symbolizes a shared belief in the possibility of a hunger-free future while creating lasting solutions to address the root causes of food insecurity. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who are most vulnerable, ensuring that every child has access to nutritious food and the opportunity to learn and thrive.’
